Any person or business that is not considered a Volunteer and engages in activities at the College in which they are paid, are a Third Party. This can include (but not exclusive to):
- Businesses conducting incursions
- Guest speakers
BCE has strengthened training and requirements for the engagement of third parties at BCE schools. These changes help to:
- Strengthen safeguarding across our schools and BCEO sites
- Articulate the behaviours and expectations of volunteers and third parties, and ensure all persons who engage within the BCE community are suitable and supported to provide a safe environment
- Streamline training and reduce the amount of information and time required for face-to-face induction at a local level
- Recognise the critical role that third parties play in our faith-based education community.
Each year, third parties are required to:
- complete the Third Party Training
- Read the Third Party Safeguarding Requirements, complete a Third Party Registration and Declaration Form (accessed at the end of the training) and print and share the Third Party Registration and Declaration Form with each school or office you engage with.
- Provide evidence of Public Liability ($20 000 000) and Public Indemnity Insurance ($10 000 000)
- Provide proof of current Blue Card for all employees attending the College
- Sign a valid Deed of Agreement with the College
For further information regarding Third Parties, please contact the College on 07 54953 111.
