Campus Minister

The Campus Minister offers students support in their faith formation and spiritual journey through prayer experiences such as liturgies, masses, prayers on assemblies, meditation groups, prayer groups and in Religious Education classes. The Campus Minister supports the Spirit Committee in organising activities as well as coordinating fundraising and mission programs. The Campus Minister coordinates groups of students on Year level retreats as well as working with the student leadership team in areas of Student Leadership Training and Social Justice programs.

Campus Ministry at St Columban’s college is certainly a fun filled and jam packed adventure!! I get the amazing privilege of helping encourage, cheer on and motivate our wonderful students towards reaching their full potential. I am a proud member of the Mighty Molloy House and love being a part of the St Columban’s Community.

The school Spirit at St Columban’s is outstanding with the students banding together to contribute towards things such as Christmas Hampers for St Vincent De Paul, giving generously to Project Compassion, donating toothbrushes and toothpaste heading for rural outback communities and so much more. I work very closely with the Spirit Committee to help lead prayer on all of our college assemblies and key events.

Another key aspect of the Campus Ministry role is to support the Assistant Principal Religious Education in shaping the Religious Identity of the College. This includes helping to plan liturgical celebrations and key events within the life of the College. Part of the spiritual life of the College is the retreats that are held throughout the year. These are such key growth opportunities for our students and it is such a joy to be involved in the planning and running of them.

We have Mass at the college each Friday at 7:45am and welcome everyone in our college community to join us.
